BURLINGTON, Vt. – The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) Thursday awarded two Iowa Consumer Protection Division attorneys the organization’s top annual career staff award.

Special Assistant Attorney General Jessica Whitney and Assistant Attorney General Nathan Blake received the Attorney General Career Staff of the Year Award at NAAG’s summer meeting in Burlington, Vermont. Whitney is the division director and Blake is a division attorney.

Both have worked extensively on multistate cases, including those involving for-profit college and debt collection practices.

“Jessica and Nathan are integral to our consumer protection division, which has been recognized as one of the top offices of its kind in the nation,” Attorney General Tom Miller said. “They’re both highly capable attorneys, and they work really hard for consumers in Iowa and across the country,” Miller added. “I’m delighted to congratulate them on receiving this prestigious national award, and thank them for the terrific work they do in our office.”
