The Office of the Attorney General enforces the One Call Law. You can file a One Call Complaint with the Iowa Utilities Commission or the Attorney General's office by using the online form.

The Office of the Attorney General enforces the One Call Law. You can file a One Call Complaint with the Iowa Utilities Commission (IUC) or the Attorney General's office by using the online form.
What happens after a complaint is filed?
Through collaboration with the Attorney General’s Office, the IUC will evaluate the complaint and conduct an investigation, and then provide the investigative file to the Attorney General’s Office. Our office will then determine whether an enforcement action is appropriate.
Complaint filed
A One Call complaint is submitted using the online complaint form.
IUC review
The IUC evaluates the complaint and conducts an investigation.
AG review
The investigative file is provided to the Attorney General’s Office to determine whether enforcement action is appropriate.
