Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks a Secretary to serve in the Victim Assistance Section.

Description

This position involves significant paperwork and work with database systems; telephone contact with crime victims, law enforcement, and service providers; teamwork; and attention to detail. This position answers calls for Victim Assistance and responds to walk-in visitors. The person serving in this role must have a passion for helping crime victims.

Requirements

Candidates must have a passion for public service and possess high levels of organization, judgment, documenting of confidential matters, prioritization, customer service, written and verbal communication, and data entry skills. 

Pay and benefits

This is an in-office position with standard office hours of Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30. Hourly pay ranges from $16.95–$28.36, depending on experience.
