Job Details
Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks an assistant attorney general to primarily represent the State in juvenile appeals before the Iowa Court of Appeals and the Iowa Supreme Court. Duties will include writing briefs and conducting oral arguments in child welfare and juvenile delinquency appeals, as well as advising county attorneys and Department of Health and Human Services staff on juvenile law issues.
A successful candidate will be passionate about public service and committed to protecting children and other victims, supporting law enforcement, and achieving justice for Iowans involved in the juvenile justice system.

Requirements
Previous experience practicing in juvenile court, handling juvenile or other appeals, or clerking for the Iowa Court of Appeals or Iowa Supreme Court is preferred. Admission to practice law in Iowa is required.
Salary range is $55,952–$135,262.40, depending on experience.
