Job Details
Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks an attorney to join the Revenue Section of the Iowa Department of Justice. Attorneys in the Revenue Section represent the Iowa Department of Revenue before courts and administrative tribunals and provide legal advice to the agency on matters related to its operations.
The attorney will primarily appear in state courts and federal bankruptcy courts to enforce and recover state tax assessments.
Requirements
A successful candidate will be passionate about public service and possess exceptional skills in statutory construction, legal writing, and providing written and oral advice to agency staff. Admission to practice law in Iowa is required.
Salary range is $57,636.80-139,318.40 depending on experience.
