Job Position—Agency Counsel Division
Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird seeks an attorney to serve in the Agency Counsel Division.
As an attorney in this position, you will represent state agencies, boards, and commissions by:
- Providing day to day legal advice including employment related matters.
- Representing agencies, boards, commissions, and their employees in administrative tribunals as well as state and federal courts including appellate courts.
- Assisting with review and drafting of administrative rules.
Candidates must have a passion for public service and some exposure to a litigation practice. The most competitive candidates will have a minimum of three years of practice experience. Prior judicial clerking experience is a plus. This position requires a license, or the ability to obtain a license, to practice law in Iowa.
Pay and Benefits

Annual pay ranges from $57,636.80 –$139,318.40, depending on experience.
